Big News:  We are happy to announce that MELD, the first DeFi, non-custodial, banking protocol, has chosen Fintech Circle member  Velmie, a Fintech software provider, to bring banking to Web3.

MELD and Velmie have joined forces to launch a banking solution with features and capabilities beyond traditional banking touchpoints and platforms.

The solution will be integrated directly with exchanges, smart contracts, digital wallets, and provide key services to improve the Web3 banking experience.

“We are excited to announce the collaboration with MELD. The major goal from our side is to provide a secure, modular, innovative and future-proof software solution that meets the requirements of the ever-changing world of finance and digital currencies. Overall, we are optimistic about the role of crypto in facilitating a more globally accessible financial services ecosystem.” – Slava Ivashkin, CEO at Velmie, commented.

Ken Olling, CEO of MELD, said: “Meld is bringing crypto and fiat solutions together, we need partners with both experience in these areas and the ambition to take on such challenges. We expect that our collaboration with Velmie will yield a new type of hybrid banking solution; part traditional finance and part blockchain.”

The companies are building a new type of banking solution and choose a tech stack built with Golang due to its reliability and high-performance characteristics.

Because Golang is a relatively new programming language it means the solutions built with it would be contemporary and have less technical debt which is a significant problem in the banking world.
